Ziet er toch weer geweldig mooi uit. Citroen is in de conceptfase heel goed bezig.
Eerder was er al een heel mooie conceptcar met de mooie naam Revolte en nu is het tijd voor de eveneens 100% elektrische Survolt. Ja, weer een conceptcar.
Vraag blijft natuurlijk wanneer die modellen te koop zullen zijn. Zie ook: Wordt dit de full-electric 2CV ?
CITROËN is proposing a new automotive vision with Survolt. Initiated by the Revolte concept car revealed at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, Survolt is the continuation of CITROËN’S exploration of distinctive and original electric vehicles. Survolt Concept turns received notions through its radically new vision in a consummate blend of high-fashion glamour and motor-racing extravagance. Survolt features two-tone paint, hues of fuchsia and charcoal grey, and plays with materials and volumes. It is further characterized by the strong contrasts between the voluptuous bonnet and and sculpted flanks with emphatic wheel arches. At the front, the distinctive Citroen badge reigns above the large oval-shaped grille, while its slim and horizontal head lamps are inspired by sports coupés. At the rear, Survolt features the elegant light signature of Revolte together with a spoiler in an essential reference to motor sport. Inside, Survolt’s cockpit is designed like a floating cell with a glass setting held between chrome-finished roll bars.
With its compact dimensions of 3.85 meter long, 1.87 meter wide and 1.20 meter high, Citroen Survolt Concept re-appropriates sports car styling cues to form an all-new and revolutionary concept. Citroen Survolt Electric Sports Car Concept Takes To Le Mans
Earlier this year French automaker Citroen unveiled its new Survolt electric sports car concept and now the car has taken to the legendary Le Mans Circuit for a special rally event. With its 100 percent battery-powered drivetrain-a rarity in the world of racing-the Survolt charged around the course.
The Survolt concept’s two electric motors provide up to 300 horsepower, a top speed of 162 mph and a 0-62 mph time of less than five seconds. The twin 300 pound lithium-ion batteries can cover 124 miles and can be re-charged in just two hours with a specific power supply, or in 10 hours on the standard 220 Volt network.
